Taleb Rifai Secretary General of United Nation World Tourism Organization recently Visited, Chittagong, Bangladesh, on his visit he Discussed How to promote Bangladesh Tourism to globally. UNWTO Secretary-General, Also appreciated activities done by Welcome Bangladesh. Dalton Zahir Requested to UNWTO Secretary-General, Taleb Rifai, Bangladesh Should Include as a Tourist Country to the World Tourist Map. Which is UNWTO can guide us to do this, So that globally world traveler can understand or they can find Bangladesh as a Tourist Destination and it will help Bangladesh Tourism to explore to global traveler. Dalton said, it is very important to be listed first into world tourist map then promote or branding our tourism. So that global traveler can understand Bangladesh as a tourist country. UNWTO Secretary-General have advice & Guide to dalton zahir , how to begin that to be listed . And Dalton Zahir also stat to working on it.

UNWTO Declare, 2017 is the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development. UNWTO Secretary-General also discussed how Welcome Bangladesh can work together with UNWTO jointly and promote Bangladesh globally. Also Bangladesh Tourism to include to the World tourist map. & Dalton Zahir working on it .

With 1.8 billion international tourists foreseen to travel the world by 2030, we could end up with 1.8 billion opportunities or 1.8 billion disasters. These 1.8 billion travellers can and should translate into opportunities for inclusive economic growth, for more and better jobs, opportunities to protect our natural and cultural heritage, to better know and respect each other, to bond people, to distribute wealth and share prosperity,” said UNWTO Secretary-General Taleb Rifai, opening the event. UNWTO Commission for Asia and the Pacific meets in Bangladesh.

2 months to celebrate and promote the contribution of the tourism sector to building a better world. This is the major goal of the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development 2017 that will start in few days.

The United Nations General Assembly declared 2017 as the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development recalling the potential of tourism to advance the universal 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The International Year aims to support a change in policies, business practices and consumer behavior towards a more sustainable tourism sector than can contribute effectively to the SDGs.

“This is a unique opportunity to build a more responsible and committed tourism sector that can capitalize its immense potential in terms of economic prosperity, social inclusion, peace and understanding, cultural and environmental preservation” said UNWTO Secretary-General, Taleb Rifai.
